Course Details

With our singular focus on golf, you know the course gets TLC at Longview Golf Club.

With Longview Golf Club being the “no frills” kind of place that our regulars have come to appreciate and depend on, you just know that the course is going to be in great shape.

Here are some of the highlights that you would not want you to miss, including:

What is the best Par-5 on the course?

“Number 11. Your tee shot requires a precise 250 yard drive to lay up at the end of the fairway before dropping over the hill to the creek below. The longer hitters can take a poke at reaching the green in two with a hybrid or long iron, second shot plays around 225 yards or so to an uphill green guarded by a large pine tree on the right and a pot bunker on the left side of the green.  A layup of 150 yards will leave the average golfer a short but challenging uphill shot into the green and should result in a good look at birdie.”

What is the best par 3 on the course?

“Number 17. It’s also the toughest hole out here and our “Signature” hole as well. Depending on the tee selection this hole can play anywhere from 100 yards to over 250 yards. The blue tees typically sit at around 200 yards. This downhill Par-3 has given many players trouble as it’s all carry over a pond with minimal room to bail out.”

As I finish (16, 17 and 18), do I have a chance to salvage my round? Is it rough? Fun?

“The final three holes can give the golfer an opportunity to score and salvage the round.”

“Number 16 is a reachable Par-5 in two, allowing you to make birdie or better to prepare for the challenging Par-3 17.”

“Number 18 is a good, medium-to-short Par-4 with the approach playing uphill to the clubhouse. Most players have less than 150 yards into this green with a good chance to score. Be careful in going long as the green slopes from back to front and can leave a challenging up and down if not played properly.”
